The Nebulae

Nebulae are called regions of the interstellar medium formed by gases, mainly hydrogen and helium, together with these gases we can find other chemical elements in the form of cosmic dust. The nebulae have a high cosmological importance, because in these regions new stars are born, using the elements that contain the nebulae. On other occasions the nebulae can be formed by remnants of already extinct stars such as a remnant of an explosion of the Supernova type, a clear example is NGC 6990, this is one of the nebulas that make up the Nebular complex of Los Velos, in the constellation Swan
