Time-Lapses Summer 2020

Updated: Sep 11, 2022

This is my first post, I hope the first of many, I have not come up with a better idea to start with the section dedicated to time-lapse video than to share the compilation of the 4 nights I dedicated to capturing deep sky images during the last August 2020.

After having tried this technique I have to say that I liked it a lot, surely I dedicate myself to making this type of videos more frequently, although as with everything there is still a long way to go to be able to learn this technique decently.

In this video you can see in chronological order the time-lapses resulting from my astrophotography nights last year.

It occurred to me to capture these time-lapses in order to get more performance out of the Nikon D7500 camera and the Sigma 11-20mm Lens and the Rollei Astroklar Filter that I acquired at the beginning of 2020, unfortunately all the equipment had to be stored during the already unforgettable lockdown.

All the necessary images have been captured from my mother's house in San Justo de la Vega, with the sole exception of the second one, which I moved to the top of the Cruise while my team captured images in the patio.

While capturing the sequence of images to be able to make this Timelapse, I was also capturing a few hours of M8 and M20 in the constellation of Sagittarius, then the resulting image.

M8 The Lagoon Nebula (Bottom) and M20 The Trifid Nebula (Top)

Thank you very much for stopping by and remember all comments are welcome.
